The death of Stephen Hawking has brought some amazing tributes and acknowledgements of his life and work ; unfortunately it has lead to some comments in media and social media that warrant further consideration. For example: ..saying Stephen Hawking is “free” from his wheelchair now. People with disabilities are hearing those sentiments and reading the comments. Do those commentators think they ought to die? Cause that’s what they are saying, actually. Don’t try to sell death as freedom. Hawking’s wheelchair was freedom.
